The  location

It feels like being somewhere in the countryside, but you're in the middle of the city. A quiet inner courtyard invites you to linger, as does the park around it.
The Altenberger Hof has a long history dating back to Roman times. It belonged to Altenberg Abbey until 1803, today it is a community center and our event venue in July 2025. We will dance in the former barn, the heart of the venue, now a 400 sq m event hall with a parquet floor, bar, and professional sound system.

How to get there

Public transport:

20 min away from central station

  • Geldernstraße/Parkgürtel: S6/S11 or metro 13

  • Florastraße: metro 12/15

Parking

Parking tickets must be purchased in the area around the Altenberger Hof (Monday - Friday 9-21, Saturday 10-15).

 

You will find the big free parking of Altenberger Hof only 3 minutes away. See the mark in the map above and the pictures. You can get there via Niehler Kirchweg. Footpath to Altenberger Hof through the park.

 

Right next to it, is a smaller car park with an electric charging station where you can park for 24 hours for €5: Niehler Kirchweg 30, 50733 Cologne.

 

There is also another parking zone around the corner from the Altenberger Hof on Meerheimer Strasse 257 where you can park for up to 24 hours for €5 (recognizable by the blue stripe on the parking ticket machine).
